Project Overview:
Each aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles is required to publish a newsletter
for the membership. The publication, consisting of eight pages, includes
information for the members of the organization pertaining to charitable
giving, aerie news, columns from the aerie and auxiliary president, and
a event calendar. The publication is published monthly.
I became editor of
the Eagle Observer October 1997 and still continue in that role
today.
Project Details:
The publication is designed on a 11"x17" sheet and printed back-to-back.
This back and white publication is designed in Adobe In-Design with graphic
elements created in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Awards
The Eagle Observer was recognized by the Grand Aerie of the Fraternal
Order of Eagles in June 2004 as the 'Best Newsletter' in its class.
In 2005, the newsletter was redesigned to reflect the changing needs
of the organization, and was selected as the Grand Prize Winner for
newsletters overall in all categories.
