Project Overview:
When I first arrived at UMM in 1995, I was asked quite often "What does Media Services (then AV Services) actually do?" What surprised me the most is this question was mainly asked by faculty and staff of UMM – our core client base.

Knowing we had an information problem, we designed a publication titled MediaNotes, published quarterly, to better educate and inform the UMM campus community on the changing trends in educational technology, in addition to highlighting our services and past projects.

Since the inaugural issue, MediaNotes has been an immediate success. Articles range from classroom presentation technology at UMM to understanding the basics of creating graphics for the web. The publication also highlights projects produced at Media Services and what it took to get the project from conception to completion. I personally write many of the articles pertaining to technological issues and past projects in addition to serving as editor.

Project Details:
Each publication is eight pages, designed on an 11" x 17" tabloid document. This back and white publication is designed in Adobe PageMaker with graphic elements created in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
